Lennaart van Oldenborgh is a BAFTA-winning documentary film editor, and a researcher in the field of Documentary Film Studies. For his research, he is looking into the role of the audiovisual archive in the history and memory of conflict, and is currently making a film about the audiovisual record and legacy of the siege of Mostar, in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the 1990s. As an editor he is known for documentaries in art, science and history, and in 2018, his feature-length documentary 'Basquiat: Rage to Riches' won the BAFTA TV Specialist Factual award. He also co-directed the feature documentary Bitter Lemons (2014) with Adnan Hadzi, about the post-conflict situation in Cyprus. Lennaart has a background in fine arts and film theory, and has taught Film Theory and Media Studies at Goldsmiths and the Royal College of Art.
